New to Us!

Come by the store and discover a new (to us) yarn that is perfect for summer! It’s not linen or cotton but superwash merino combined with viscose from bamboo. This gives it lots of drape without it growing down to your knees after knitting! 

What makes this yarn even more unique is the multicolored specks of color mixed into the fiber.  The yarn is Sueño Tweed by HiKoo. We have all the colors available and Chiaki has already made a pullover pattern that is perfect for this yarn. It’s called Reverse 20 because it is knit in reverse stockinette at a gauge of 20 stitches for 4 inches. To be honest, I am not always a fan of reverse stockinette, but the specks in the yarn make it work and give it an unusual look for a pullover that is easy to knit. 

I have already cast on mine in the comforting cream color way.

If you want to test the yarn out with a smaller sample, we also have a knitted hat made from the yarn. The Kaare hat is a free pattern on Ravelry that uses a fun slip stitch and a twisted rib. Using size 7 needles, you can whip this out in no time!
