Marls

Hi Everyone,

Modern Daily Knitting's latest Field Guide is coming out on Friday, October 1.

In case you aren't familiar, field guides "...are little books that explore the big world of knitting, with patterns and stories to inspire the curious knitter."

This one is called Marls and it features 5 designs all created by Cecelia Campochiaro.

All of the patterns in this booklet use the marling technique - combining 2 or more colors of yarn held together as one strand - to create tweedy, cozy, colorful designs. Each one more beautiful than the last.

My particular favorite is the "Marlogram Scarf/Cowl". A simple combination of knits and purls, this pattern creates a wonderfully textured and variegated accessory.
