Crochet Everywhere!

I know I have blogged about this before, but the more I look around, the more I see that crochet is taking over the fashion world again!

If you are taking Chiaki’s Granny Square class, you can put that new found knowledge to good use in making a fashionable garment. Here are a few on Ravelry that caught my eye.

The Corrine Cardi by Knit Collage.
Ariana Cardigan (no relation!)

If multi-colored granny squares is not your thing, there is also a lot of monochrome crochet garments out there. I was in Nordstrom earlier this week and was surprised at just how many crochet dresses, tops and cardigans I saw. There were even granny square covered mules!!

Vince topped the list of most crochet garments:

These are premium priced accessories, so maybe for once it might be less expensive to make your own! We have the yarn to do it!
Here are some similar patterns that can be found on Ravelry.
This is the Body Language sweater. It uses Aran weight cotton yarn. The Shiny Happy Cotton by Wool and the Gang fits the bill and we have lots of colors.
This is the Get Comfy Cardigan, made with worsted weight yarn. For that we have Rowan’s Hand Knit Cotton in more than 20 colors.
The Aria Button Down Cardigan uses DK weight yarn. Juniper Moon’s Zooey can be used for this one. We have this yarn in 15 brilliant colors.
Open Heart Cardigan. Another worsted weight top that can me made with Rowan’s Hand Knit Cotton.
This is just a small selection of the more than 24,000 patterns that came up on my Ravelry search of crochet sweaters and tops. So, there is a lot to choose from!! Bring joy to your summer with a little summer fun!
