Let’s start the new year with a super fun Knit House KAL!    This Knit House Vest is so versatile to wear with relaxed fit, deep v-neck and pockets. It is easy-wearing, modern and completely flattering. You will also love the big gauge which is 14 sts / 4”.  The KAL also gives you many opportunities to choose your own details along the way. Make one for yourself!

KAL: A Knit-a-Long is a really fun way to knit with other knitters and learn tons of skills along the way. Plus get all the help you need to complete this vest.

Homework- Once you sign up for the KAL, we will send you instructions for a “Gauge Swatch”. 

Date - 2023 1/19, 1/26, 2/2, 2/9 & 2/16    5 Thursdays 12:30-2:00

Sessions
Session 1 - Check your gauge. Design choices. Start knitting the Back. M1 increase.
Session 2 - Short-row shoulder shaping. Start knitting the Front / pocket linings and pocket openings.
Session 3 - Adding pocket linings.  Front v-neck shaping.
Session 4 - 3-needle BO to join Front & Back shoulders.  P&K for neckline.
Session 5 - Mattress stitch to join Front & Back side seaming. P&K for armhole ribbing.

Fee - $90 for all 5 sessions
        - 7 people (min 2 people)

Materials
We ask that you purchase your supplies at Knit House.
Yarn
            Choice 1 - Blue Sky Fibers “Woolstok Tweed”.
            Choice 2 - Woolfolk “Luft”. 
            Choice 3 - Plymouth “Chunky"
            Choice 4 -Ikigai Fiber “Chibi Para Chunky”
            Choice 5 - Malabrigo “Mecha"
            Choice 6 - Juniper Moon “Bud"
            Choice 7 - Doubled light worsted yarn  -  
            Fiber CO “Luma DK”,

The sample is knitted with Blue sky Fibers “Woolstok Tweed Aran”.

Please check the details for each yarn. The fiber content and yardages are different.
Yardage - S (M, L, XL) - 650 (700, 800, 950) yards.
Needles   
Please bring your main needles (32” or longer) and small size needles to the first session.
Main needles - Please take the time to correctly check your gauge = 14 sts / 4”
Small needles - One size smaller than main needles size
Needle size - The needle size will vary depending on the yarn and how you knit. Recommended sizes are between US 9~11!!
