A Drawing Sweater is a beautiful motif sweater. The designer, Tomomi Yoshimoto, wanted to make a sweater so that the flowers on the surface of the water would slowly drift away.
Learn the ladderback jacquard method. It is a way to handle longer floats of non-working yarn. The strands of non-working yarn are connected with vertical columns of stitches or ladders which creates a web that floats behind the work.
This class occurs over a 3 week period. In the first class we will learn how to work this technique on a swatch we make in class. You will then be equipped to start the sweater. We will meet again in 2 weeks to tackle any difficulties you may have.
This is an intermediate to advance knitter class. You must be familiar with stranded color work and reading charts.
