Knitting for Olive

If you have been to our store you have probably seen the beautiful  Soft Silk Mohair we carry from Knitting for Olive.

Knitting for Olive is a wonderful mother and daughter team based in Copenhagen, Denmark. They make beautiful patterns and yarns. All of them ethically sourced and dyed. Their silk mohair comes from South Africa. This yarn has been so popular, used on its own and carried with another yarn, that we have brought in more colors.

To go with it is the 100% merino in fingering weight made in Patagonia on an organic farm. The fiber is then sent to Italy for spinning and dying with environmentally friendly dyes.

Knitted together, or on its own, these two yarns make soft, light garments. The company came out with a special pattern that uses these 2 yarns, the UNICEF Sweater. !00% of the proceeds from this pattern go to UNICEF.
Other fabulous Knitting for Olive patterns include:
The Olive Vest
When my daughter was in the store recently, she picked some Knitting for Olive Silk Mohair for the Cumulus Blouse.
This is a really simple sweater to make. The neckline and edges are finished with a icord.
